SSPE with Ocular Manifestation “Eye as Window to the Brain”

Eye is the window to brain. Subtle ocular signs could help in early diagnosis of SSPE .Diagnosis of SSPE can be very challenging particularly in atypical cases when myoclonus is absent or subtle. Ocular involvement can sometimes precede neurological symptoms by months or evenyears. Hence, ocular examination in young children with SSPE is an important clinical handle for the neurologist.

Here we report a case of SSPE with ocular manifestation.
